If your church has not submitted the name of its 2013/2014 lay Regional Representative who will also serve as the Representative to the Leadership Team, please do so as soon as possible. The Nominating Committee would like to have this info in order to coordinate ministry assignments for publication and election at the annual meeting.
Annual Church Profile (ACP) material is now being distributed and is due back in the SBA office by Thursday, October 10. Also, clerks are asked to provide names of messengers to the 2013 SBA Annual Meeting with ACP info or enter them at the church’s SBDS website by Thursday, October 10. (These names will be used to create registration lists as well as name tags for messengers to pick up when they register at the meeting.)

The Men’s Ministry at Mentow will host a “Breakfast for Supper” on Saturday, September 14, 5 p.m., with a representative from “Gleaning for the World” making a presentation.
Revival Services will be held at Norwood, September 8-11. A Sunday morning service will be at 11, with evening services at 7. Evangelist Matt Wilkins will be bringing a special word from the Lord at each service. Please pray for revival at Norwood and throughout America.

September 21, 2013, 5 p.m.: Ice cream social and cookout.
September 29, 2013: Pastor Anthony Ndambuki of Kenya will be speaking at the 11 a.m. service. A potluck luncheon will follow.
October 13, 2013 Pastor Appreciation Day: We will be picnicking at the Peaks of Otter after the 11 a.m. service.
At Timber Ridge on Wednesday, September 18, 7 p.m., Pastor Anthony Ndambuki will be delivering a word from the Lord and also sharing what life is like in KENYA, AFRICA, and his vision for helping many by sharing JESUS and God’s Love to the needy through the building of a school/church in the Eldoret community. Pastor Anthony serves Living Word Christian Church in Eldoret and is also a missionary with Mission Link International. All sister SBAVA churches are invited to attend. On Sunday, September 1, 11 a.m., Trinity will host the Southern Gospel male trio “Poet Voices” who will lead in worship. Everyone is invited. A love offering will be taken.
Trinity will have revival services September 22-25, with Rev. Jackie Carver as guest speaker. Pastor Anthony Ndambuki from Kenya will kick off the revival in a special Sunday morning service at 11 on the 22nd.
In recognizing the support staff for the Children’s Summer Music Camp, we failed to mention Martha Williams of Quaker who played the piano for us during large group choir on Wednesday and Friday. Thanks for your great contribution, Martha.

Women on Mission : Bedford will lead weekly devotionals at Oakwood Manor in September; Thaxton will lead them in October. Thaxton will host the September birthday party for residents of Bedford County Nursing Home; Timber Ridge will host it in October.
Adult Quilting Mission Group

Adults interested in quilting will soon have an opportunity to meet in one location for fellowship while making small quilts for community and/or personal use.
