December 2002 | Home Page |
How would you describe this past year? Some Americans might say “turbulent, tragic, or unstable.” For sure, we cannot deny that these last 365 days have been full of great trial and difficulty for tens of thousands of families across our nation.
Dear Strawberry Baptist Association, God bless you and supporting churches for your continued financial support of the Bedford Jail Ministry. We continue to bring hope and peace to officers, inmates, and their families. Continue to pray for us that God will provide answers to the problems of crime as well as solutions for them. Jesus Christ has the answers; making Him live through us is the task!
God bless,
Our December 21 "Journey to Bethlehem" has been delayed. With the very busy Christmas schedules of our churches and people we were unable to find a group to coordinate the planning and travel for the three "caravans" to make their way to "Bethlehem". There has also been little response to sign up since we first announced it on October 28. We are hopeful that this will become a reality for December 2003 if we can get our churches to include it on next year's calendar as part of their Christmas celebration.
Feb 28-Mar 1 Handbell Workshop, Please note: As churches plan their calendars for 2003, please include these dates. We ask that you especially try to schedule your Vacation Bible Schools around the first ever Children’s Music Day Camp in Strawberry. For further information, please contact Judy Edwards at Bedford Baptist, 586-9564.
Under the Lordship of Christ, to equip, support, and involve our family of churches in meeting the spiritual and physical needs of a changing community and world.
