Focus on Our Family (con't)

Norwood will be having revival services May 18-21, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Rev. Bill Mitchell, pastor of Mt. Zion in Montvale, will be the guest speaker of God's Word. Please pray for Gods anointing that we all may experience revival from within. The church body of Norwood has decided to send ALL of the offering received on June 29, the fifth Sunday of June, to the Strawberry Baptist Association. In a spirit of love, the congregation would like to challenge other SBA churches to do the same or something similar. This will not only help with the current deficit, but will encourage each church to give locally for our associational needs. After all, the funds are to be used for God's Glory and not ours.

On May 3, Thaxton is hosting "Spring Forward Workshops for Women." Workshops include quilting, emergency preparedness, cake decorating, finances, home decorating, massage therapy, making unique gifts, and floral design. There will be time for each woman to participate in two workshops. The morning will begin with a powerful testimony by Tammy Meador, a mother of three little girls, the youngest born with Apert's Syndrome. In addition, there will be praise and worship music and a catered lunch by To Go's of Bedford. Pre-registration fee of $15 includes lunch. Pre-register at thaxtonbaptist.org or by calling 540.586.8348. Also, you may register for $10 the day of the event (does not include lunch).
